First Cruise Control
Following on from the previous post on the 1958 Chrysler New Yorker, here’s a bit more information about the cruise control option that was available on Chryslers and Imperials in the United States that year. It’s a fascinating Chrysler brochure from 1958 advertising their new Auto-Pilot option. This was the first modern cruise control system available in production cars and it’s another case of an innovation having been introduced earlier than many people may realise. Thanks to the people at oldcarbrochures.com for their great resource.
