Spring Is Here

It’s been a while coming, but finally spring is here and the classic car season is getting under way. Last weekend I took the family to a terrific get-together at Marong, a little town near Bendigo in country Victoria, for a picnic outing and car show.

Sitting on a rug behind our Mustang, eating hot dogs for lunch and surrounded by a few hundred great cars to check out was a fun time. There will be many more opportunities over the coming months and each of these occasions features a different assortments of cars, a variety of activities and its own unique atmosphere.

From a really eclectic field, my pick of the cars from Marong included some fine Studebakers, a lovely Plymouth coupe, a very cool VW Beetle and of course some Mustangs. You can check out more photos of these and other cars at the Marong picnic here.
